EITC Dollars at Work
Expanding STEM & Industrial Arts Through CNC Technology
$39,540 Invested | Supporting 900+ Student Learning Opportunities Annually
The Wyalusing Area Education Foundation is proud to support the integration of CNC technology into the Industrial Arts and STEM curriculum at Wyalusing Valley High School.
This advanced equipment allows students to move beyond traditional metalworking techniques and experience the complete design-to-production process — from hand sketches and CAD designs to precision fabrication using modern manufacturing technology.
Students will develop skills in engineering design, computer-aided drafting, applied mathematics, problem-solving, and digital fabrication while creating professional-quality projects connected to real-world careers.
Through investments like this, EITC funding helps ensure Wyalusing students have access to the same innovative tools and experiences used in today’s workforce.
Teachers in the Parks
$50,000 Invested | Supporting 60 Students Through Summer Learning
Summer learning should be an opportunity for students to grow, explore, and build confidence. Through EITC funding, WAEF helps make that opportunity possible through Teachers in the Park (TIPS) — a hands-on summer program designed to strengthen academic skills while creating meaningful learning experiences outside the traditional classroom.
TIPS provides 60 students with six weeks of small-group instruction led by certified teachers. Students engage in reading, math, and STEM activities while developing problem-solving skills, teamwork, and confidence through project-based learning, outdoor activities, and social-emotional skill-building.
By combining academic support with creativity, collaboration, and community connections, TIPS helps students maintain essential skills during the summer months and return to school prepared for success.
Through EITC support, Wyalusing students gain access to high-quality summer enrichment that helps them learn, grow, and thrive.
