The 2020 Wyalusing Area Education Foundation Board
We Are Your Education Foundation Team
Working behind the scenes to make good things happen in our district.
Robyn owns and operates the Wyalusing Valley Children’s Center, Inc., the Wysox Children’s Center and the Sullivan County PreK. She and her husband also own and operate the Wyalusing Laundromat. She is a graduate of the University of Scranton with a BA in Business, and a graduate of Keystone College with a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Leadership. She resides in Sugar Run with her husband, John, and her two children, Julia and Jack.
Gabe started with the foundation in 2014. He and his father, Burnie Sheldon, own and operate the family run business, Sheldon Funeral Homes. Gabe is part of the Huffman Memorial Golf Tournament Committee. He resides in Laceyville with his wife Carly and three children.
Kelly is a WVHS graduate and has been active with the foundation since 2014. She is currently the executive director of the Greater Wyalusing Chamber of Commerce and a teacher's assistant at the Wyalusing Valley Children's Center. Kelly is the WVES PTO President, Event Chair for the Relay for Life of Bradford County at Wyalusing, involved with the Wyalusing Valley Wine Festival and with her daughters' numerous activities. Kelly resides in Wyalusing with her family.
Sharon currently serves as secretary for the Education Foundation. She lives in Herrick Township with her husband, Matt and children Riley, a senior and Grady, a sophomore at WVHS. She is employed by Guthrie Home Health as a physical therapist.
Maria has been a 3rd grade teacher at WVES for 16 years. She has been an active member of the foundation since 2015, serving on the Spring Fling committee. Maria Lives in Sugar Run with her daughter Sophia.
Dr. Bottiglieri is extremely excited to be part of the fantastic team of the Wyalusing Area School District and is enthusiastic about further developing the school community to showcase many of the positives taking place in our schools. When you have a free moment please stop by to meet Dr. Bottiglieri in person. His office is located on the lower level of the Elementary School. He is most often found in one of the school buildings working with students, teachers, and administrators or in attendance at school and community events.
Megan joined the Board in 2019. She currently serves as Central Lending/Mortgage Manager at Visions Federal Credit Union in Endicott, New York. Megan is a member of the Jim Huffman Memorial Golf Tournament and Spring Fling committees. Megan resides in Camptown.
Tiffani is the School Board representative. She resides in Laceyville with her husband and three girls..
Jennifer Newton has been on the Education Foundation board since 2016. and is currently employed as the Chief Operating Officer, at Century Farm, LLC in Wyalusing, PA. Jennifer resides in Wyalusing with her husband Ralph, daughters Ashlee (freshman at Shippensburg University) and Priscilla (freshman at Wyalusing Valley High School). Jennifer is currently the Varsity Volleyball Coach, Volunteer Advisor to the Ramettes, and the Serious Hits Volleyball Club Director. Jennifer enjoys volunteering at various high school events, community and club activities.
Josh is currently employed at Procter and Gamble in Mehoopany. He Currently is serving as the President of the Wyalusing Area Youth Soccer organization. He has been on the WAEF board since 2016 and plays a key role on the Jim Huffman Memorial Golf Tournament committee. Josh and his family, wife Diana and two children Caleb and Anna currently reside in Sugar Run.
Richard is a retired educator with a passion for service who represents Region 1 New Albany Borough, Albany Township, Overton Township, Wilmot Township, Terry Township on the Wyalusing school board.
Heather was born and raised in Williamsport, PA. She relocated to Laceyville in 2008. Heather has a BA in Business Administration from Keystone College. She is currently employed by PS Bank as a Branch Sales Manager. She also currently serves as the Secretary of the Laceyville Borough. Heather still resides in Laceyville with her two children, Landen and Madison. .
Liz is Science teacher at WVHS. She lives with her husband and three young children in Wyalusing. She enjoys watching her kids' sporting events, strength training, and outdoor activities.
Warren is the news editor for the Rocket-Courier, having started with the newspaper in May 2019. He is married to a 1996 Wyalusing Valley High School graduate, Lisa Robinson. The couple reside in Dushore with their two children, Jonathan and Grace.
Rhaegan is a registered nurse and is employed at Robert Packer Hospital as a charge nurse in labor and delivery. She is the secretary of the Wyalusing Rams Golf Booster Club, and also a member of the Basketball and Baseball Booster Clubs. Rhaegan also coordinates fundraising for her son's travel baseball team. She resides in Wyalusing with her husband Randy and their four sons, Jhaeden, Trehnon, Mahdden, and Bhaelon.
Originally from outside the Wyalusing area, Duane is a retired soldier holding BS in Business from Keystone and an M.P.A. in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Leadership from Binghamton University. He currently resides in Laceyville. He was tricked into taking this job and is happy about it..
Honorary Board Members
Jennifer is a former VP and Secretary of WAEF. Jennifer is currently employed by Tuscarora Wayne Insurance Company and lives in Wyalusing with her 2 children, Emily and Ethan.
One of the original board members of WAEF, Debbie has been the owner of The Travel Shoppe since 1994. Married to her husband Lanny since 1972, Debbie is the proud mother of three daughters and their families, including eight grandchildren. Debbie served on the Wyalusing School Board for 16 years, serving as president for many. In addition to the WASD Board, she also served on the Blast IU 17 board for many years as well as the Northern Tier Career Center board. Debbie feels it was an honor to serve the District and considers it an honor to be still involved.
